Your Power:
Divine One, bringer of healing energy and light, let your power flow through me and energize me throughout my day. Keep me close to the source of your radiant being and open me to Wisdom’s presence and surprises. Amen.
Strength:
God of power and strength, changer of what seems changeless, help me to find my strength, power and authority in you. Grant me the desire and will to change the conditioned patterns of my existence. Reveal to me how my strength can unite with yours, that I may become all that you created me to be. Amen.
Possessions – Faith:
Jesus teaches us to value our possessions in the light of the reality of eternity. We are called first to thank God for all the gifts that God has given us. Then to discern how we should glorify God generously with these gifts and not seek any self-glorification.
Vigilance – Faith:
In today’s Gospel, Jesus urges us to be vigilant in our faith so that we will not drift into complacency and a casual relationship with the Lord. To be vigilant in our faith is to love the Lord intimately and always to have Him as our first love from which all other loves flow.

My children, the three acts of faith, hope and charity contain all the happiness of man upon the earth. By faith, we believe what God has promised us: we believe that we shall one day see Him, that we shall possess Him, that we shall be eternally happy with Him in Heaven. By hope, we expect the fulfillment of these promises: we hope that we shall be rewarded for all our good actions, for all our good thoughts, for all our good desires; for God takes into account even our good desires. What more do we want to make us happy?
- Saint John Vianney
I do not praise poverty for poverty's sake; I praise only that poverty which we patiently endure for the love of our crucified Redeemer and I consider this far more desirable than the poverty we undertake for the sake of poverty itself; for if I thought or believed otherwise, I would not seem to be firmly grounded in faith.
-Letter from Saint Peter of Alcantara to Saint Teresa of Avila
It is sometimes difficult to resist evil and remain virtuous. But with the grace of God that we obtain from prayer we can do anything. All we have to do is to will it.
