The Eucharist
The celebration of the Eucharist is not meant to be an hour of entertainment. God is not there to put on a flashy show that will raise the roof, and we’re not there to watch one. The celebration of the Eucharist is an action, one that requires our participation, one that begins and ends out there, beyond the parking lot.
Jesus' Miraculous Cures:
In today's Gospel, Jesus cured the man with skin disease and cautioned him not to tell anyone as His time to reveal Himself as the Messiah has not yet come. Do we parade our good deeds and praise ourselves instead of glorifying God for the good that we have done? Without God we are mere dust.

By nature, each one of us is enclosed in his own personality, but supernaturally, we are all one. We are made one body in Christ, because we are nourished by one flesh. As Christ is indivisible, we are all one in him.
- Saint Cyril of Alexandria (376-444)
