Reaching Out With Forgiveness:

We are all capable of doing what seems unthinkable when we start to forget that we need God to strengthen us during our trials, when we fall asleep and stop being vigilant. But fortunately for us, our failures don’t have to be the end of our story. God always reaches out to us with forgiveness, with another chance to do better.

Views of Life and of Others:

In today's Gospel, Jesus points that our outlook on life and our views of others is either positive or negative. It depends on whether we have the Light of the Spirit guiding our hearts or the Darkness of Evil diverting us away from Jesus' Truth.

The humble man has put off arrogance; the vain and pompous man has rejected humility.

- Saint Gregory of Nyssa
