Seeds of Joy Amid Sadness:
Sowing seeds of joy amid our own or another’s sadness requires both prayer—a prayer of assurance and confidence that God is looking out for me—and action, more aptly a servant’s surrender and acceptance of consequences.
Attachments - Faith:
In today’s Gospel, the good young man kept all of God’s commandments and was blessed with wealth. He also desired to gain eternal life without detachment from his wealth. Thus, he went away sad. Do we have attachments that make us sad and distant us from God?
