Being a “Little Christ”:
We belong to Jesus Christ the moment we rise from the waters of Baptism bearing his name. Christian means “little Christ.” As such, our vocation is to model our lives on the Lord’s.
“Call to Serve”:
In today’s Gospel, Jesus chose fishermen to be His Disciples. Jesus saw certain good qualities in them that even they themselves did not know. When opportunities present themselves to us to serve God’s people, we must take them up and learn to trust God more than our own abilities.
