Prayer of Penance:
Lord, I pray for those with heavy crosseswho suffer for the sins of their parentsand for the sins of those born before them.Open their eyes, Lord, so they may see sufferingas the cross you have given them to bear.
Motive of Ministry:
In today’s Gospel, John the Baptist expressed that his joy was complete and thus proclaimed that Jesus must grow greater, and he must grow less. When we are praised for our gifts, talents and good deeds, we are each challenged always to glorify Jesus and not ourselves.
