Prayer Haiku:
Listening to my Lord
Turning over all worries
Enjoying the peace
Loving God:
In today’s Gospel Jesus urges us to put God at the centre of our lives. All other loves must be lived and expressed in the context of and connected to this divine love. A good person who knows how to love God will experience a deeper love than any human love can express.

He who wishes to love God does not truly love Him if he has not an ardent and constant desire to suffer for His sake.
- Saint Aloysius Gonzaga (1568-1591)
St. Aloysius Gonzaga Patron of AIDS Patients and their Caregivers, We come before You, and ask You, if it is Your Holy will, to take away this suffering from us, restore us to health and lead us to know You and Your powerful healing love of body and spirit.
—National African American CatholicHIV/AIDS Task Force
"When we stand praying, beloved brethren, we ought to be watchful and earnest with our whole heart, intent on our prayers. Let all carnal and worldly thoughts pass away, nor let the soul at that time think on anything except the object of its prayer"
- (St. Cyprian, On the Lord's Prayer, 31).
