Forgive Me:

Forgive me, Lord, for those times when I see things from my own perspective and not as you do. Forgive me when I am selfish and possessive and without enough trust in your mercy, providence and absolute love.

Justice – Faith:

In today’s Gospel, Jesus is preaching the Gospel value of forgiveness that supersedes the strict justice of “an eye for an eye.” Jesus Himself lived this Gospel value on the Cross when He prayed, “Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” How forgiving are we?
