God’s True Countenance:

Every stage of our spiritual journey reveals something more of God’s true countenance, and at this point we suddenly come face-to-face with the most astounding aspect of his tender love: we see that he is vulnerable. The cross lays bare the most hidden wounds of our nature, but is also lays bare the the human truth of God’s wound.

God’s Will – Deepest Reality:

In today’s Gospel, Jesus asserts that to do God’s Will is to establish the deepest form of relationship with Him. When we live in God’s ways, we are fulfilling the fullest meaning and purpose of our lives. Our happiest moments are found in loving God and others fully.

If your confidence were as great as it ought to be, you would not worry about what may happen to you; you would place it all in God’s hands, hoping that when he wants something of you, he will let you know what it is.
