New Fruit of Eternal Life:

Jesus, risen from the dead, is the body of man that has fallen like a seed into the ground and now bears fruit of eternal life. The life that is love and has flooded with the sap of life the stem and branches of his spiritual being as well as the bark of his corporeal existence.

Jesus’ Love:

In today’s Gospel, Jesus assures us that His love for us is infinite, intense and intimate; just as His Father loves Him. How much do we love Jesus in return? How does our daily life witness to such love? Do we bring peace, joy, love, consolation and hope to others?

Oh what remorse we shall feel at the end of our lives, when we look back upon the great number of instructions and examples afforded by God and the Saints for our perfection, and so carelessly received by us! If this end were to come to you today, how would you be pleased with the life you have led this year?

- Saint Francis de Sales (1567-1622)
