Final Glory:
Following Jesus is no amiable, user-friendly morality. It is as tough as the nails that impaled Jesus on the wood. But from that came the glorious joy of the Resurrection.
Beatitudes:
We can only understand the truth of Jesus’ “Beatitudes” if we have faith in Him who is our Saviour. Thus, when Jesus preaches,“Blessed are you who are poor, hungry now, weeping now, and the like,”we have to challenge ourselves to affirm that His saving Presence is truly within our human pains and sufferings.

We must look upon all the things of this world, as none of ours, and not desire them. This world and that to come are two enemies. We cannot, therefore, be friends to both; but we must resolve which we would forsake, and which we would enjoy.
- Saint Clement of Alexandria
