The Humble Saint:

How do you react when hateful words and actions are thrown your way? What steps can you take to be a spiritual and physical servant to others? How can you be careful not to boast about your every achievement and blessing?

Christian witness:

In today’s Gospel Jesus challenges us to witness to our faith in Him more radically. Are we living a mediocre or lukewarm faith, i.e. just fulfilling the basic requirements of the Church e.g. Sunday Mass obligations? If we truly love our Lord, we must witness our faith in our daily living.

Humility is a grace in the soul and with a name known only to those who have had experience of it. It is indescribable wealth, a name and a gift from God.

- Saint John Climacus
