Easter Prayer:

Risen Lord Jesus, I love you and thank you for the gift of your resurrection. Because of this our faith in you is possible. Help us witness to all you taught and did for us. Amen

Resurrection – Fact:

Today’s Gospel relates the historical account of Jesus’ Resurrection, which is not merely a theoretical possibility. Jesus truly rose from His death. This Truth should make us feel very happy and grateful to God. But, are we? If not, then, what is blinding us from accepting this Truth?

Easter Sunday was not within three days of the Transfiguration but within three days of Good Friday. Love is not to be measured by the joy and pleasures it gives but by the ability to draw out of sorrow, a resurrection out of a crucifixion, and life out of death. Unless there is a cross in our life, there will never be an empty tomb; unless there is the crown of thorns, there will never be a halo of light.
