Breath of God:

O breath of God, come set me free From weighing burdens set on me.Unforgiveness keeps us apart When anger resides within my heart. Make me willing to see my plight; Open my eyes and give me sight….

New Year – One Resolution:

The only resolution we need to make is a faith that is more fervent and firmly-rooted in our love to fulfil the Father’s Will. Mary did it throughout her life. During this New Year pray for greater peace, justice and for more people to love God.

The first day of the year is placed under the sign of a woman, Mary. The Evangelist Luke describes her as the silent Virgin who listens constantly to the eternal Word, who lives in the Word of God. Mary treasures in her heart the words that come from God and, piecing them together as in a mosaic, learns to understand them. Let us too, at her school, learn to become attentive and docile disciples of the Lord. With her motherly help, let us commit ourselves to working enthusiastically in the "workshop" of peace, following Christ, the Prince of Peace.

- Pope Benedict XVI (January 1, 2006)

Mary, just as you helped Jesus grow in wisdom and grace, help me also to advance on the spiritual path which God has laid out for me.
