Intimate With God:
Getting intimate with God is simple: nothing complex, contrived, artificial. All that is required is good will, and you can have this merely by wanting…and then making some effort. And be sure to persevere, to stick with it.
Annunciation of the Lord:
In today’s Gospel, the Angel Gabriel announced that the Good News of salvation depended on Mary’s “yes.” Mary’s love for God was so deep and “full of grace” that she accepted God’s Will as a privilege; even if it might result in her death. Do we love God more than ourselves?

A person is at the beginning of a prayer when he succeeds in removing distractions which at the beginning beset him. He is at the middle of the prayer when the mind concentrates only on what he is meditating and contemplating. He reaches the end when, with the Lord, the prayer enraptures him.
