Infinite One:

As spirit-in-the-flesh beings, you and I burst beyond the material order, beyond what our senses can attain, beyond the cosmos itself. By its limited nature nothing created can satisfy us. God alone, the sole infinite One, can fill our endless yearnings.

Resurrection – Slow in Belief:

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reprimanded the disciples for being so “slow in believing” in His Resurrection. Do we allow our daily superficial needs e.g. latest mobile, self-image etc. to dampen our belief in the Risen Christ? Live the essentials of life, that is, love God more fully in all things.

The image of the disciples on the way to Emmaus can serve as a fitting guide for all of us. Amid our questions and difficulties, and even our bitter disappointments, the divine Wayfarer continues to walk at our side, opening to us the Scriptures and leading us to a deeper understanding of the mysteries of God.
