Tuesday -- Matthew 18:21-35:
Debt forgiveness is a big issue in world politics. International debt keeps Africa’s most impoverished nations poor. Through the Internet or the library, research the plight of an economically struggling African nation. Watch for an opportunity to help.
“Forgiveness - Faith”:
In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds Peter that everyone must forgive all the time. Like God, we must not bear grudges, but go beyond our hurts and forgive generously. While this is not easy, Jesus assures us that we will always find the strength to forgive if we open our hearts to God’s graces.
**********************************************************************************************
For a Christian to pray is not to evade reality and the responsibilities it entails, but to assume them to the end, trusting in the faithful and inexhaustible love of the Lord.
- Pope Benedict XVI (March 3, 2007)
