Wednesday -- Matthew 20:17-28:
The Christian life includes self-sacrifice. Without him or her knowing it, do someone’s house chore or similar kind of task today.
Courageous Service: Jesus’ service to His Father’s Will demanded a courage that was willing to endure public mockery, scourging and crucifixion. How much courage do we have in our service to God’s people? Do we compromise because we fear criticisms or do we face them with Christ-likecourage?

The everlasting God has in His wisdom foreseen from eternity the cross that He now presents to you as a gift from His inmost heart. He has blessed it with His holy name, anointed it with His grace, perfumed it with His consolation, taken one last glance at you and your courage and then sent it to you from heaven, a special greeting from God to you, an alms of the all-merciful love of God.
