Thursday -- John 5:31-47:
Think of the various “lights” in your life. Who most inspires you, comforts you, challenges you? Jesus tells us today that, whoever that is, Jesus is the deepest light of all. Light a candle today and give thanks for all of the “lights” in your life.
Faith – How Deep?:
We all know that faith is God’s gift to us that must nurtured responsibly. The “struggles” we experience in trying to nurture our faith is as St Paul says, “we know what is right, and yet we often choose what is wrong.” We must keep in focus, with God’s graces, on how to live our daily challenges in God’s ways.

Prayer is not something accessory, it is not "optional," but rather a question of life or death. Only one who prays, that is, who entrusts himself to God with filial love, can enter into eternal life, which is God himself.
- Pope Benedict XVI (March 3, 2007)
