Being Catholic:
Being Catholic…means engaging ourselves courageously, in mind, will and body, in the work of Christ. This work is to unite all things in Christ and so bring everything to the fullness for which it was created.
Truth - Faith:
The truth of God’s presence, love and compassion is all around us. Yet, often we do not “see” and “hear” Him daily. We need “eyes and ears of faith” to find Him in our daily experiences. Without faith in God our hearts will be too full of ourselves to “see” and “sense” Him.
Living in the Shadow:
To live with the conscious knowledge of the shadow of uncertainty, with the knowledge that disaster or tragedy could strike at any time; to be afraid and to know and acknowledge your fear, and still to live creatively and with unstinting love: that is to live with grace.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Faith is the unshaken stance of the soul and is unmoved by any adversity. The believing person is not one who thinks God can do all things, but one who trusts that he will obtain everything. Faith is the agent of things unhoped for.
- St. John Climacus on the Feast of Sts. Joachim and Anne (First Century)
