Jesus Is Risen:
On Easter we celebrate that God’s love conquered death and that Jesus is forever alive in the world.…Easter is an alleluia day. It is the greatest, biggest, most important feast day in every Christian’s life, and it should be celebrated every day by every Christian.

The Lord has risen and grants to those who share in his triumph over death the courage and the strength to continue to build up a new humanity by refusing every kind of violence, sectarianism and injustice. The Lord of life has risen with power, bringing with him love and justice, respect, forgiveness and reconciliation.
- Pope John Paul II (Easter Message April 7, 1996)
"In the resurrection of Jesus, love has been shown to be stronger than death, stronger than evil."
"Baptism is more than a bath, a purification. It is more than becoming part of a community, It is a new birth. A new beginning in life."
- Pope Benedict XVI (Extract from Easter Vigil Homily April 7, 2007)
