Holy Week: Monday -- Isaiah 42:1-7:
“Here is the servant whom I uphold…upon whom I have put my spirit; he shall bring forth justice to the nations.” Meditate prayerfully over each of the words of the verse above.
Repentance:
In today’s Gospel Mary Magdalene wept bitterly and poured costly ointment on Jesus’ feet as expressions of deep sorrow for her sins. True repentance is a deep conversion that brings about significant changes in our lifestyles. Ponder on your life. Speak to the Lord for the graces you need.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Fix your minds on the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. Inflamed with love for us, he came down from heaven to redeem us. For our sake he endured every torment of body and soul and shrank from no bodily pain. He himself gave us an example of perfect patience and love. We, then, are to be patient in adversity.
