An Invitation:
The holiness of God’s name is not meant to frighten us and make us cower in our fragility, vulnerability and sin. The holiness of God’s name is an invitation to draw closer to him and to open our lives to the Love who can do great things for us.
Serving God:
In today’s Gospel Jesus cautions us that if we want to serve Him, we must be prepared to trust Him fully even when we experience objections and persecutions. Our main goal in serving God is to bring His Peace of salvation into the lives of all peoples. Millions are hungering for this “Peace.”

Clearly, what God wants above all is our will, which we received as a free gift from God in creation and possess as though our own.
- St. Joseph of Cupertino (1603-1663)
