Bless Us:

The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, has blessed us. May God continue to bless us; let all the ends of the earth revere him.

Inconsistencies:

In today’s Gospel, Jesus points out that we are “shrewd and all knowing” when it comes to secular matters of our life. However, we do not use these qualities to learn to know God’s ways better. We are each challenged to be more consistent and sincere in the practice of our faith.

Prayer enables us to meet God at the most profound level of our being. It connects us directly to God, the living God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in a constant exchange of love.

- Pope John Paul II the Great (1920-2005)
