Faith:

Faith involves understanding and response, deliberately pursued and consistently practiced. That’s the agenda that God has given us for our lives.

Faith - Responsibility:

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that we should correct each other’s wrongdoings and help each other to grow in the faith. Our faith cannot be fully alive, unless it is expressed and witnessed through a Christian community. An “individualistic faith” is against Christ’s teachings.

=====================================================================

Be strong lest prosperity lift you up too much or adversity cast you down. Be humble in this life, that God may raise you up in the next. Be truly moderate and do not punish or condemn anyone immoderately. Be gentle so that you may never oppose justice. Be honorable so that you may never voluntarily bring disgrace upon anyone. Be chaste so that you may avoid all the foulness of lust like the pangs of death.

- St. Stephen of Hungry (969-1038)
