Reflections....for thought
Medically, it has been proven that our blood vessels do burst when we are in a state of deepest sorrow and agony which then leads to blood flowing through the pores. This was the agony our Saviour went through whose sweat become like drops of blood falling on the ground at the Garden of Gethsemane when HE said: "My soul is sorrowful even to death". Mark 14:34. I guess no one would ever understand the depth of agony our Saviour went through till we see HIM face-to-face.
Have we ever wondered as children of God, whether we have unknowingly locked the door of our heart, preventing our agonising Saviour from entering when we:-
- choose to live a stubborn life;
- always dwells on injury and being unforgiving;
- dwell on self-righteousness and full of self-seeking nature;
- too proud-hearted to say "sorry";
- always wait for the other party to make the first move when a misunderstanding occurred;
- too quick to pass judgement on others and misinterprete them;
- are so full of ourselves;
- often speak ill and think badly of others.
For it is written in the bible, "On the day of judgement, people will render an account for every careless word they speak. By your words, you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned." MT 13:36-37.
On the contrary, we can be life-giving to others if we practise the message of LOVE. The message may be too familiar to us that we do not take the meaning seriously.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, it is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, endures all things." 1 Cor 13:4-7.
