Reflections ...

"God is thirsting for the love of His creatures. The same God is our beggar. Let us give ourselves to Him. Let us not be mean.... Let us not look at what we are doing, but at the extent of our failure to correspond to His love."

- St. Theresa of Los Andes (1900-1920)

A careless word may kindle strife,
A cruel word may wreck a life,
A bitter word may hate instill;
A brutal word may smite and kill.
A gracious word may smooth the way;
A joyous word may light the day.
A timely word may lessen stress;
A loving word may heal and bless.
