Seek to keep peace. Protect widows and orphans as you have done before.Such care gives the greatest joy possible on earth since it isthanksgiving to God, and it gives God greater joy in heaven. You must also prevent public sins and always personally insist on justice. You should carry the passion of God in your hearts, for it will be your consolation in your last home.

Fidelity: Peter was sure that he would not deny Jesus. Yet he did so when his life was threatened. While we should not live in fear, we should not be too proud to admit that we have sinful ways that can weaken our faith and love for God. Pray for the grace and wisdom to live fully in God’s ways daily.
