Heartfelt Forgiveness:
There is no greater hope of peace than heartfelt forgiveness, for there is no greater expression of the power of God among sinners than his omnipotent mercy. We must beseech it for ourselves and shower it abundantly upon one another.
'Jesus caring for us':
In today's Gospel, Jesus assures us that He 'will watch over us and not one of us will be lost.' Are we aware of how much Jesus is caring for all our daily needs? Do we ignore Him and try to live by our own strength? Trust more fully in God's care and love for us.
===================================================================
Do not seek to be regarded as somebody; don't compare yourself to others in anything. Leave the world, mount the cross, discard all earthly things, shake the dust from off your feet.
- Saint Barsanuphius of Gaza (d. 540)
