Forgiveness:

As Jesus was a loving, forgiving person and as the Spirit breathes peace and reconciliation through our lives, so too we must be forgiving people. In our homes, our workplaces, our cities, our parishes, are we people who forgive and forget, again and again? God is. We must be too.

Sacred Heart of Jesus:

This feast celebrates the infinite compassion and mercy of God, Our Lord. It is because of such unconditional love that our faults, failures and sins have not destroyed us. We are each challenged to have a heart that feels for others when they hurt us.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart has a twofold object: It honors first with adoration and public worship the Heart of flesh of Jesus Christ, and secondly the infinite love with which this Heart has burned for us since its creation, and with which it is still consumed in the Sacrament of our altars.
