God’s Merciful Love:

The reason why it’s hard for us to appreciate fully God’s merciful love is that we can’t fathom the depth of that kind of love. It’s simply beyond us—beyond our capacity as humans—to love so unconditionally and so universally.

Faith - Sincerity:

We hear of people who refuse to change their “sinful” ways in life, but hope to “repent” on their deathbed. We either love God or we don’t. We should not put God’s generosity to the test; that is insincerity. All of us are sinners; we need to strive to love God with sincerity at all times.

Whenever some act of wondrous power must be performed, St. Michael is sent, so that his action and his name may make it clear that no one can do what God does by his superior power.

- Pope St. Gregory the Great (from a Homily on St. Michael the Archangel)
