Gospel Ways:

The gospel really isn’t difficult. It is surprising, in that the behavior it requires is so unexpected. Our human nature, corrupted by our sinfulness, does not respond to events of life in a divine way. But when we throw off our old self and put on our new self, our responses to people and situations we encounter slowly begin to resemble the divine way God treats us.

God's - Power:

Today's Gospel tells us that faith in Jesus healed a man, who had been possessed by Evil Spirits since childhood. Jesus assures us that if our Faith in God is strong, then Evil Spirits have no power over us. So, if we focus on building our relationship with Our Lord, nothing can harm us. We will find lasting peace.

A person must be born before he can begin to lead his physical life. So he must be born to lead a divine life, and that birth occurs in the Sacrament of Baptism.
