My Life at Work:
Lord, work with me today. Let me work with awareness, slowly and carefully,Quick reactions and decisions are not your will. But a heart open to love always is.Let me love myself and others more today,And accept the very stuff of my life at work.
Rejecting God:
We reject God not only directly through our sinful ways, but also indirectly when we fail or refuse to do good to others. How often do we say we have no time to someone who is in pain and ill? How often do we reject giving generously to the poor? Remember, God never rejects us.
Full Speed Astern:
Fallen man is not simply an imperfect creature who needs improvement. He is a rebel who must lay down his arms. Laying down your arms, surrendering, saying you are sorry, realizing that you have been on the wrong track and getting ready to start life over again from the ground floor - that is the only way out of a hole. This process of surrender - this movement full speed astern - is repentance.
