For God, it is said, "cannot be tempted of evil." The devil, therefore, drives us on by violence, drawing us to destruction; but God leads us by the hand, training us for our salvation.

- St. Dionysius of Corinth (d. 180), from "An Exposition of Luke" XXII. 46

Divine Peace:

Our Lord wants more disciples to spread His divine "Peace" to all peoples. This "Peace" will last for all eternity. He knows that every person is hungering for this deep peace. The world of glamour and gratification cannot give us such peace. Is your heart open to this "Peace"?

If This Grace Were Ours:

It is the rare person who, looking back over his life and seeing what he has done to it, hasn't sighed for a chance to redeem what he has cheaply used or carelessly ruined. If only somehow, somewhere, there was a way to live again the days we have darkened with our blind haste - the innumerable occasions when our indifference trod on all the pearls of God’s graciousness; the times when our pride, or our fear, or our meanness poured the acid of contempt over the fair countenance of another’s soul! If this grace were ours, how we would leap to the chance!

Safe in God’s Arms:

Do not anticipate the problems of this life with apprehension, but rather with a perfect hope that God, to whom you belong, will free you from them accordingly. Simply hold on tightly to the hand of his divine providence and he will help you in all events. When you are unable to walk, he will lead you.
