Reality:

Material things can rot and be broken and relationships can turn sour and be miserable. But, God’s love for us is the most secure, stable and lasting. Value all that we have as God’s gifts, but never forget that our greatest gift in life is to have a loving God in our lives.

Those Who Suffer:

Jesus did not hesitate to proclaim the blessedness of those who suffer.…This blessedness can only be understood if one admits that human life is not limited to the time spent on earth, but is wholly directed to perfect joy and fullness of joy in the hereafter.
