Language of Love:

Love does not divide, nor does it lay heavy burdens upon, nor does it label. Christ spoke to Francis in a language that Francis could reveal and communicate to others readily, easily, so easily that thousands heard it—because it was the light “burden” of love and not the heavy burden of judgment and division.

Uncertainty and Fidelity - Faith:

In today's Gospel instead of answering Peter’squestion of who was to betray Him, Jesus asked Peter to 'follow' Him closely. We are each challenged to love Jesus, and be more Christ-like to others daily. Our future will be most 'secure' if we live in God's Providence and Protection.

Turn yourself round like a piece of clay and say to the Lord: I am clay, and you, Lord, the potter. Make of me what you will.

- Saint John of Avila (1499-1569)

Holiness is not perfection according to human criteria; it is not reserved for a small number of exceptional persons. It is for everyone; it is the Lord who brings us to holiness, when we are willing to collaborate in the salvation of the world for the glory of God, despite our sin and our sometimes rebellious temperament.

- Late The Great Pope John Paul II
